Indy CE

Privacy Policy

Effective August 8, 2026 · Indy Dental Tech LLC

The short version. Indy CE has no servers. Your CE records, certificates, and credentials are stored on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud account. We cannot see them. We have no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking, and we do not sell or share your information with anyone.

1. Who we are

Indy CE ("the app") is published by Indy Dental Tech LLC, a Nevada limited liability company ("we," "us," "our"). You can reach us at hello@indydentaltech.com.

This policy explains what the app does with information when you use it. It applies to the Indy CE iOS app only.

2. Information stored on your device

Everything you enter into Indy CE stays under your control. That includes:

This information is written to the app's local database on your device. We do not receive a copy of it, and there is no account on our side that holds it.

3. iCloud sync

If you are signed in to iCloud and have iCloud Drive enabled, the app uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your records between your own devices. Your data is stored in your private CloudKit database, which is tied to your Apple Account.

Apple's design means the developer of an app cannot read a user's private database. We cannot browse, export, or recover your records, and we cannot restore them for you if they are lost. Sync is handled entirely between your device and Apple.

You can turn sync off at any time in Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud. Turning it off leaves the data on the device you are using.

Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

4. Sign in with Apple

The app uses Sign in with Apple. When you sign in, Apple provides the app with a stable identifier for your account, and — only the first time, and only if you choose to share them — your name and email address.

These values are stored on your device so the app can greet you and label your records. They are not transmitted to us and we never see your Apple Account credentials.

Apple's Hide My Email feature is supported. If you use it, even the on-device copy of your email is a relay address rather than your real one.

You can revoke the app's access at any time in Settings → [your name] → Sign in with Apple.

5. Subscriptions and payment

Indy CE Pro is sold through the Apple App Store. Apple processes the payment, not us. We never receive your card number, billing address, or Apple Account details.

Apple provides us with aggregated, anonymized sales and subscription reports — for example, how many subscriptions were active in a given period. These reports do not identify individual customers.

If you redeem a promotional offer code, Apple handles the redemption and tells the app only that an entitlement is active.

6. Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app schedules reminders on your device for credential and license expiration dates. These are generated locally by your iPhone. Apple's push service is also used by CloudKit to signal that new data is available for sync; those messages carry no readable content about your records.

7. Diagnostics and crash reports

We do not include any analytics or crash-reporting software in the app.

Separately, iOS has a built-in setting called Share with App Developers. If you have turned it on, Apple may make crash logs and performance measurements from your device available to us through App Store Connect. This data comes from Apple, is aggregated across users, and does not identify you. You control it in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

8. What we do not do

9. Not for patient information

Indy CE is a personal record-keeping tool for your own professional education and credentials. It is not designed or intended for storing patient information, and it is not a HIPAA-compliant system. Please do not enter protected health information, patient names, or clinical records into the app, and make sure any certificate you photograph does not include patient details.

10. Children

Indy CE is intended for licensed dental professionals and students in professional programs. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

11. Your choices and deleting your data

Because your data lives on your device and in your own iCloud account, you can remove it yourself at any time:

We hold no copy of your records, so there is nothing for us to delete on request. If you would like written confirmation of that, email us and we will provide it.

12. Security

Data on your device is protected by iOS file encryption and your device passcode. Data in iCloud is encrypted in transit and at rest under Apple's security model, and can be further protected by enabling Advanced Data Protection in your Apple Account settings.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keeping a passcode, Face ID or Touch ID, and two-factor authentication enabled on your Apple Account is the single most effective thing you can do to protect this data.

13. Nevada residents

Nevada law (NRS 603A.340) gives Nevada consumers the right to tell a business not to sell their covered information. We do not sell personal information and have no plans to. You may still submit a verified request to hello@indydentaltech.com and we will confirm our practices in writing.

14. California residents

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, California residents have rights to know, delete, and correct personal information a business collects, and to opt out of its sale or sharing.

We do not collect personal information from users of Indy CE, we do not sell or share it, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If you exercise any of these rights we will respond, and we will not discriminate against you for doing so.

15. Users outside the United States

Indy CE is offered from the United States and is currently sold in the U.S. App Store. Since your records remain on your device and in your own Apple account, they are not transferred to us or stored in our infrastructure. Apple's own privacy terms govern where iCloud data is held.

16. Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and change the effective date above. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
